The event takes place at the Gary Player GC, Sun City and became part of the European Tour International Schedule for the first time at the beginning of the 2014 season. Lee won the event in 2010 and 2011.

Lee had a 10.17 tee-time from the 1st with Padraig Harrington and Charl Schwartzel on Thursday and carded a 2-under 70, when his round included an eagle at the ninth.

He had a Friday tee-time of 10.02 (local) with Peter Uihlein and Lucas Bjerregaard. Playing in difficult weather conditions (high winds), Lee completed his round of 70, leaving him in T2nd place on 4-under par, two shots behind leader, Victor Dubuisson. Lightning caused play to be suspended in the afternoon, but all players completed their rounds.

He had a 10.51 tee-time with Dubuisson and Fichardt on Saturday but dropped two shots when he carded a 74 and is now 2-under par and in T7th place. Scott Jamieson leads on 8-under par.

He played from the 1st on Sunday alongside Matthew Fitzpatrick and Richard Sterne wwith a 9.57 tee-time, signing off with a well played 4 birdies and a bogey 69. Finishing in T6th place on 5-under par, he earned €208,084 in prize money.
