Lee returns to Humble, Texas for the Shell Houston Open, his best finish so far, was T8th in 2010. He missed the cut in last year's event.

He teed off from the 10th at 12.10 (GMT-5) with Chad Campbell and Andres Gonzalez on Thursday but was 6 over on his front nine. Making a birdie on the back nine saw him end the day 5-over par (77).

Lee missed the cut set at even, when he added another 2 bogies to his card (72) in the second round.

He remains in the US for The Masters.
